Open Water Diver Course

Rates Include

• PADI E-learning package and instructional videos.
• PADI Open Water Diver certification.
  Complete diving equipment for the duration of the course.
• Hotel transfers from Rawai, Chalong, Kata, Karon, Patong and Kamala areas.
• Meals during boat programs: breakfast, lunch, drinking water, coffee, and tea.

Not Included

• 4 Beach Dives Option: transfers to Kata Beach. We can arrange transfers upon request for an additional fee.
• Food and drinks on the first day of the course at the pool and on beach dives. You may buy food and drinks at your own expense.
• Private instructor for 1/instructor. Private instructor fee: +1000 Baht/course.

Key Information

The beginner diver course takes 3 days and consists of three parts:

1. E-learning

The theoretical training begins with self-study. When you enroll in the course, you will receive the E-learning pack that you have to complete before the course start date. You will receive detailed instructions and assistance from us about E-learning.

2. Confined Water Training

This part takes place in an outdoor pool on the first day of the course. You will learn basic diving skills and emergency procedures in shallow and deeper water. Instruction is provided either individually or in small groups of up to 4 students. The pool water is a comfortable 30 degrees Celsius, and you have the entire day to master every skill.

3. Open Water Dives

On the second and third days of the course, you will go diving in the sea. You need a minimum of 4 open water dives to complete the course, but you can do up to 6 dives.

Open Water Diver Course with 4 Shore Dives: Diving from the shore is possible from November to April, with maximum depths of 10-12 meters at beach dive sites.

Open Water Diver Course with 4-6 Boat Dives: On the second day of the course, you can dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters twice, and on the last day, up to 18 meters. Dive duration is up to 50 minutes per dive. Recommended!

Open Water Diver Course after Discover Scuba Diving Programs

If you’re unsure about your abilities, start with a trial dive. We will credit the full price of the Discover Scuba Dive if you continue and complete the Open Water Diver Course within a month, which takes an additional 2-3 days.

Before the start date: Complete E-learning.

Day 1:

08:00 – 08:30: Pick-up from your accommodation and travel to the pool.
08:30 – 16:00: Pool sessions, lunch and travel back to your accommodation.

Day 2:

09:00: Meeting at Kata Beach.
09:00 – 10:30: Briefing and Dive 1.
10:30 – 12:00: Beachside break.
12:00 – 13:00: Briefing and Dive 2.
13:00 – : Stay on the beach or transfer back to your hotel.

Day 3:

09:00: Meeting at Kata Beach
09:00 – 10:30: Briefing and Dive 3.
10:30 – 12:00: Beachside break.
12:00 – 13:00: Briefing and Dive 4.
13:00 – : PADI Ecard completion, stay on the beach or travel to your accommodation.

12:30 – 13:30: The second dive.
13:30 – 15:00: Return to Phuket.
15:00 – 15:30: Transfer to your accommodation.

Day 3:

07:30 – 08:30: Pick up at your accommodation and travel to the port.
08:30 – 10:00: Light breakfast on the boat, boat ride to Racha Yai Island, briefing.
10:00 – 11:00: The third dive.
11:00 – 12:30: Lunch, relaxation, rest on the boat.
12:30 – 13:30: The fourth dive.
13:30 – 15:00: Return to Phuket, PADI certification registration.
15:00 – 15:30: Transfer to your accommodation.
